L'INIZIO

L’inizio is one of the many artworks presented in the solo show HOME. It’s a mirrored installation that recreates a game De Pasquale played on the balcony of her childhood home holding a silver tray. Visitors are invited to walk on a reflective surface, evoking a feeling of escape. The show HOME is an intimate and provocative interrogation of the individual, introspective journey to create a sense of belonging in an unstable and ever-changing world. As James Baldwin proposes in his 1956 novel, Giovanni’s Room: “perhaps home is not a place but simply an irrevocable condition.”
